Canon Rebel XS vs Pentax Kx vs Nikon D?

Question

Canon Rebel XS vs Pentax Kx vs Nikon D?
Im thinking about getting a DSLR camera.

Answer

I have to go with the DSLR chosen by the Techncal Image Press Association as their quotBest DSLR Entry Levelquot the Pentax Kx. Here is a realworld, handson reviewbrhttpwww.shutterbug.netequipmentrevieabrbrThe Canon XS was introduced in so its close to being a yr. old model and thus yrs behind in technology.brbrThe Nikon D is a very basic DSLR with a CCD sensor and poor performance at higher ISO settings those above .brbrHere are the features of the Pentax Kxbrbr A CMOS sensor.brbr Live View.brbr HD Video.brbr Doublemultiple exposure capability of from to exposures on a single frame with Auto EV Compensation. This opens a whole new world of creativity to you.brbr A focusing motor in the camera body so any Pentax mount AF lens ever made will auto focus on the Kx as it should.brbr Image Stabilization in the camera body so any lens used becomes an IS lens.brbr A choice of camera body colors so you dont have to settle for a black camera unless you want to.brhttpwww.pentaximaging.comslrabrbrThe Nikon D has NONE of those features. NONE.brbrHere are the current prices at BampH httpwwwbhphotovideo.coma for the cameras with an mm zoombrbrPentax Kx, .brbrNikon D, . after a . Instant Savings from BampH.brbrCanon XS, . after a . Instant Savings from BampH.brbrIn my opinion a mere . is an acceptable amount to pay for all the features of the Pentax Kx. Just to have the Live View, the in camera focusing motor and in camera IS should seal the deal for you.brbrAs far as video is concerned, you might find it desirable in a few months and Ive always believed its better to have a feature and not need it than it is to need a feature and not have it.

Cannon vs nikon? dSLR?

Question

Cannon vs nikon? dSLR?
buaaahh, I plan on purchasing a dSLR camera,

Answer

The Canon vs. Nikon war is never ending. Right now, Id say Canon is ahead because they have came out with some amazing DSLRs and lenses as well lately, but in another year or two Nikon will be coming out with better products and everyone will shift that way again.. you just have to hold one of each and use them to decide which one you are more comfortable with. You can rent cameras from your local camera shop or borrow a friends for a day.. its all about what youre going to feel better using not what everyone else is a fan of.brbrKeep an open mind about other brands by the way, Fugi Film, Minolta, Samsung.. try them out as well.. you may be pleasantly surprised and fall in love with something a little more obscure.
