It depends on a number of things.brbrFirst, obvioulsy you would want to make sure that if you require AA or AAA, that youre using rechargable AA or AAA batteries.brbrSecondly, you want to make sure that you charge the batteries in a rechargable battery charger probably overnight, or at least for a few hours if not overnight.brbrThirdly, you want to make sure that you are charging the batteries in a compatible battery charger. Some brands of rechargable battery use different ratios of chemicals, so it is always recommended to charge Energizer rechargables with an Energizer charger, and a Panasonic rechargable if theyre even still on the market?? lol in a Panasonic charger.brbrLastly, you want to make sure that the batteries arent too old. Most rechargable batteries work up until their th recharge. Some work past that, some die long before that.brbrI have some cheap rechargables from Hong Kong that I bought for a steal on eBay, but theyve worked fine for me, and have not had any problems with them.brbrHope that helps.
